Meet Peter Vercellino, D.C.
Dr. Vercellino was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois. He is a graduate of St. Teresa High School and Richland Community College. Peter then went on to attend Eastern Illinois University where he graduated magna cum laude earning his Bachelor’s of Science degree. Following his studies at Eastern Illinois University, he went on to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Logan College of Chiropractic where he graduated at the top of his class earning the highest honor of summa cum laude. Dr. Vercellino is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Activator Method, and has over 100 hours of Advanced Specialization of the Gonstead System of Chiropractic and Diversified Technique.
Dr. Vercellino became inspired to become a Chiropractor by his mentor Dr. Mario Fucinari, of Decatur Back and Neck Center. During his high school years, Peter injured his back and was left with excruciating pain and as a result was not able to function as he normally should. He remembers vividly to this day how the Doctor took the time to understand his situation and listen; then after a thorough examination and radiographs, he was able to receive treatments that would cure his problem. It was at this point in Peter’s life, that he decided that the Chiropractic profession called him to help and to serve others. Now back in Decatur, Dr. Vercellino is committed to taking care of the community that he was brought up in and to give back in the same way that Decatur has given to him.
