I have been going to a chiropractor since 1991, and it has been some of the best medical treatment that I have received on a regular basis. Just got back from my appointment, and I’m here to tell you, how much I appreciate DBNC. A big shout out for Dr. V. and his staff!!
I have been helped so much by Dr Vercellino. I feel like I can do things that I haven’t done for a very long time. I would recommend him to anyone. Especially those experiencing back pain.
Dr. Peter Vercellino is kind, trustworthy, and a great doctor. I appreciate his attention to detail and he treats you like a partner in your health care journey!
Dr. Vercellino delivers the most specific and individualized care to me through his gentle adjustments and superb clinical skills. I highly recommend both Dr. Vercellino and Decatur Back & Neck Center for all your families health and wellness needs!

I am honored and proud to announce that I have passed my certification boards as a Certified Professional Practice Manager (CPPM) through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). The 5 1/2 hour examination was challenging, but worth it. The knowledge I have gained will be used in my continued post-graduate instruction to bring the highest quality education to doctors and staff. ... See MoreSee Less

On this day 19 years ago...246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for their morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. Not a single one of them saw past 10:00am on September 11, 2001.

Friends, in one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take in today and before you go to sleep tonight in preparation for tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little bit tighter, and never take even a second of your life for granted. It really is precious.

We Salute the Small Business on Labor Day.
Owning Decatur Back and Neck Center for 33 years gave me an appreciation of what it means to be a small business. Small businesses provide character and individuality to a community. Small businesses are the backbone of their local communities. If you spend $100 at a local business, roughly $68 stays within your local economy.

Small business owners live and work in their communities, taking pride in making their towns a little nicer. Their spouses, children, and friends work at the business. At age 3 our daughters, Nicole and Katie, were stamping envelopes and emptying trash cans. Ginny took care of the business, patients, the children, and me, simultaneously! Our children grew up with an appreciation of the small business.

Building the reputation of your small business through volunteer work and community involvement, no matter what goods or services you’re providing, may be the most effective advertising that you can do.

38% of businesses viewed it as unlikely or only somewhat likely that they would be open at of the end of 2020. The COVID crisis has affected businesses, families, communities, and individuals. We dream, we struggle, we stress, and we labor. Some will riot, burn, and loot, not even thinking twice about the families, individuals, and the community they have wiped out. We all need to pull together and support the small business. We salute the small business on this Labor Day! PLEASE SHARE

Sitting is the new smoking!

According to a study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, which looked at more than 4 million individuals and 68,936 cancer cases, sitting
for long periods of time increases your risk for colon, endometrial and, possibly, lung cancer. The study found that even in physically active individuals, sitting increased the risk, and the risk worsened with each two hour increase in sitting time.
